Welcome to Navajo Generating Station Remembered.
Gone but not forgotten. NGS Remembered is a history of Navajo Generating Station expressed through images, interviews, and personal experiences. I am a retiree of Salt River Project and a former employee of NGS. I started by career with SRP at Navajo Generating Station in 1976 as an Operator Trainee. I transferred to Phoenix with SRP in 1985 to begin a 4-year apprenticeship in electronics, eventually retiring following 39 years with SRP.
As a former NGS employee in Operations and one who lived in Page Arizona from 1960 – 1985, I thought it important to help preserve the legacy and history of Navajo Generating Station by preserving images, videos, and conversations with other former and current employees whose lives were impacted by NGS. That is the sole purpose of this site. My hope is that this site will grow in content and popularity as more and more people discover it, especially those who worked at NGS.
